Centric Fiber, LLC (together, “Centric”, “our”, “us” or “we”) is committed to protecting its customers’ privacy and the privacy of those that visit this website and use our Online Services (defined below). Users should review this privacy policy (this “Privacy Policy”) to better understand Centric’s views and practices, and how they pertain to them as customers of Centric’s various Online and Internet Access services, including our Centric Fiber Mobile Application available on iOS and Android, (collectively “Online Services”) or visitors or users of this website. This Privacy Policy also describes how and why we collect or share this information and tells you about your rights and choices about the use of that Personal Information. By using our website and accessing or using our Online Services, you agree with our Privacy Policy.
Types of Information Collected
Centric collects two types of information through the Online Services: personal information and non-personal information:
(1) “Personal Information” refers to information that reasonably allows us to identify you
(2) “Non-personal information” refers to information that does not by itself identify a specific individual, including anonymized and aggregated forms of Personal Information. This non-personal information may include ’the Uniform Resource Locator (“URL”) that you just came from or what browser you are using.
We have grouped together the following categories of Personal Information to more easily explain how we use this information:
(a) “Personal Identifiers,” including your first and last name;
(b) “Contact Information,” including email address(es), mailing address(es), phone number(s);
(c) “Financial Information,” including your bank account or credit card number; and
(d) “Biographical Information ,” including your gender, occupation, citizenship, marital status, level of education and professional background.
Please also review the Visitor Agreement (Website Terms of Service), Centric Network Management and Open Internet Disclosure Statement, and Internet Service Terms and Conditions for additional terms that apply to your interactions with the Centric Network and your use of the Online Services.
How We Collect Information
Centric may collect information that you voluntarily provide when you personalize your user profile and/or utilize the features of our Online Services or through one of our community partners, such as your home builder or home-owners association. Centric may request optional information from you to support your use of our Online Services, such as your year of birth, gender and other demographic information. We also collect information from the content that you choose to submit during your use of our Online Services, such as photos, comments, and ratings.
In general, Centric does not collect Personal Information through our Online Services without your knowledge and active participation, as discussed in this Privacy Policy. There are areas of the Online Services where you may have to provide Personal Information in order to contact Centric directly or receive other services, including when subscribing to Giga Services, requesting notifications via e-mail, obtaining remote access, and contacting online technical support.
Information is also collected through the Online Services in the following ways:
Referring Information
When you browse Centric’s website or use our Online Services, Centric may collect Internet Protocol (“IP”) addresses for the purposes of system administration, to gather broad demographic information, and to monitor the level of activity on our Online Services. Centric may also collect information from visitors to our website regarding the referring URL, your IP address, which browser you used to come to our website, and the pages of our website that you viewed during your visit, how much time you spend on pages of our website, the time and date of your visit, similar statistics, and any search terms entered while visiting our website or using our Online Services.
Cookies and other Tracking Technologies
We use tracking technologies, such as “cookies” and “web beacons”, which are also called clear GIFs, pixel tags, or pixels. “Cookies” are small pieces of information that are stored by your browser on your computer hard drive. “Web beacons” are small graphic images (usually invisible) that can be embedded in content and ads on a webpage that track usage of our Online Services and effectiveness of communication. These web beacons can then be used to recognize our cookies and to monitor certain user interactions with a website. Your web browser may allow you to be notified when you are receiving a cookie, giving you the choice to accept it or not. While you can still navigate through our site if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use certain services, such registering for e-mails or obtaining remote access. To use certain Online Services, your web browser must accept cookies. If you choose to disable cookies, some aspects of our Online Services may not work properly.
Your browser may offer you a “Do Not Track” option, which allows you to signal to operators of websites and web applications and services that you do not want them to track your online activities. Our Online Services do not currently support Do Not Track requests.
E-mail, Text Messages, and Other Correspondence
If you send e-mail, text messages, and other forms of electronic correspondence through Centric’s website or our Online Services, Centric may collect your name, e-mail address, address, telephone number, etc., contained in such correspondence.
Network Traffic
Centric may access broadband traffic through deep packet inspection or similar means for the purposes of general maintenance and management of the network, as well as access broadband traffic upon request as required by law enforcement officials or court order.
How We Use Your Information
Centric uses your Personal Information to tailor the features, performance, and support of Online Services, in connection with delivering its products and services to you. Centric strives to deliver a compelling and personalized online experience that will ensure customers continuing to use the service. Some personalized services are available directly from Centric, while others may be offered by its content partners. In addition, Centric analyzes and evaluates customer input of its offerings to improve its services.
Centric also uses Personal Information to provide you with information or samples you have requested and we use the non-personal information we collect to provide you with an enhanced experience.
Centric may periodically send you marketing e-mails or other company information that we believe may be of interest to you. Centric will not send you marketing text messages unless you have separately and affirmatively consented to receive them. Service-related text messages may be sent in connection with your account and services as described in the “SMS Text Messaging and Electronic Communications” section of this Privacy Policy.
Other than to a buyer or successor of our business, Centric does not rent or sell your Personal Information to any third party. See the section below for more information on how we share your Personal Information with third parties.
We use Google Analytics to track how you and others use our website in order to manage and improve our website. Google Analytics uses Cookies and collects information such as how often users visit our website, what pages they visit when they do so, and what other sites they used prior to coming to this site. Google Analytics collects only the IP address assigned to you on the date you visit this site, rather than your name or other identifying Personal Information. The information generated and collected by the Cookies about your use of our website will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. We do not combine the information collected through the use of Google Analytics with Personal Information that we collect from you. Google’s ability to use and share information collected by Google Analytics about your visits to this site is restricted by the Google Analytics Terms of Use and the Google Privacy Policy. You can prevent Google Analytics from recognizing you on return visits to this site by disabling cookies on your browser, or you can opt out by downloading a browser add-on here. We use the various Google Adwords features to advertise on third party websites, including Google, to previous visitors to our website. With Remarketing, third-party vendors use Cookies (including third-party Cookies such as those from DoubleClick) to provide our advertisements on the Internet based upon your past visits to our website, and with Demographics and Interest Reporting, we use aggregate data provided (such as age, gender, and interests) to understand and communicate better with visitors to our website. You may opt-out of Google’s use of Adwords by adjusting your advertising settings or by downloading the browser add-on discussed above. To opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies you may visit the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page, or to opt out of DoubleClick's use of cookies you may visit the DoubleClick opt-out page.
SMS Text Messaging and Electronic Communications
1. Overview of Our SMS Programs
Centric uses SMS text messaging to communicate with customers in two distinct ways, each governed by a separate consent standard: (1) one-to-one service coordination communications, and (2) marketing and promotional communications.
This section describes how we collect, use, store, and protect information in connection with each program and describes your rights.
2. Service-Related SMS Communications
We use SMS text messaging to send one-to-one service-related communications, which may include installation scheduling and appointment confirmations, service coordination and technician dispatch notifications, account and billing notifications, service outage alerts and support follow-up messages. When you provide your mobile phone number in connection with your Centric account or a service request, you consent to receive these service-related text messages at that number. Your consent to receive service-related text messages is not a condition of purchasing or maintaining Centric’s services.
Service-related text messages are transmitted through third-party communications infrastructure providers (including Microsoft Teams Phone and Twilio or SendGrid as backend providers) under contract with Centric. These providers are not authorized to use your mobile number for their own marketing purposes.
3. Marketing SMS Communications
We may also offer you the opportunity to receive marketing and promotional text messages, including special offers, service updates, and related promotions. Marketing text messages are sent only if you separately and affirmatively opt in to receive them, through a consent mechanism that discloses the nature and frequency of messages, states that consent is not a condition of purchase, identifies Centric, and references this Privacy Policy and our Terms and Conditions. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
4. Information We Collect in Connection with SMS
In connection with our SMS programs, we may collect the following:
We retain SMS consent records for a minimum of five (5) years to demonstrate compliance with applicable law.
5. SMS Data Sharing
We do not sell your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in information to third parties for their independent marketing purposes. Mobile opt-in information is not shared with third parties for marketing use.
We may share SMS-related information with third-party service providers that assist in delivering SMS messages on our behalf (including Microsoft Teams Phone, Twilio, SendGrid and Salesmsg), who are contractually obligated to use your information only as directed by Centric and in compliance with applicable law; as required by law, regulation, or court order; in connection with a merger or acquisition as described in the “Sharing of Your Personal Information” section of this Privacy Policy; and to protect the rights, property, or safety of Centric, our customers, or others.
6. Your Opt-Out Rights
You may opt out of Centric’s SMS communications at any time through any of the following methods:
Centric will honor opt-out requests as soon as practicable, and in all events within ten (10) business days of receipt. Following your opt-out, Centric may send a single confirmation text acknowledging your request, which will not contain marketing content. Opting out of marketing text messages does not opt you out of service-related text messages, and vice versa; you may opt out of each category independently.
7. Do-Not-Call Registry
Centric maintains an internal Do-Not-Call list and honors requests not to receive telephone or SMS solicitations. We scrub marketing contact lists against the National Do Not Call Registry and applicable state do-not-call registries before conducting marketing SMS campaigns. Numbers on these registries will not receive marketing SMS messages from Centric absent prior express written consent.
8. Quiet Hours
Centric will not send marketing text messages before 8:00 a.m. or after 8:00 p.m. local time at your location. Service-related messages may be sent outside these hours in connection with service emergencies, outages, or other time-sensitive operational matters where advance notice is not practicable.
9. State-Specific SMS Disclosures
Texas: Centric’s marketing SMS program is operated as a consent-based program consistent with Texas Senate Bill 140 and guidance from the Texas Office of the Attorney General, as clarified by November 2025 settlement guidance. Centric maintains detailed consent records supporting this characterization. The Texas No-Call List prohibition applies to marketing SMS messages.
Florida: Florida's Telephone Solicitation Act (Fla. Stat. § 501.059), as amended, governs certain telephonic sales communications, including text messages. Centric honors opt-out requests in accordance with applicable federal and Florida law.
Arizona: Arizona’s Automated Telephone Solicitation statute (Ariz. Rev. Stat. § 13-2919), as amended by HB 2498 (2023), expressly includes text messages. Centric’s consent-based marketing SMS program complies with Arizona’s prior consent requirements and do-not-call requirements.
Sharing of Your Personal Information
We may disclose the Personal Information described above and collected by us to certain third parties as authorized by you or as permitted or required by law or regulation. More specifically, we may share Personal Information where:
It is necessary to comply with our contractual obligations or with your instructions, such as for processing your payments with third parties;We have a public or legal duty to do so (for example, to assist with detecting and preventing fraud, tax evasion and financial crime or compliance with a court order);We are obligated to in connection with regulatory reporting, litigation or asserting or defending legal rights and interests;Necessary to protect our system, protect your security or the security of others and to prosecute those responsible for breaching it;Needed to allow us to provide you with necessary or useful services, for example sharing with affiliates and service providers, including administrators, hosting providers, governmental agencies, regulatory organizations, and consultants;It is to a buyer or other successor in the event of a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of our assets that relate to the Online Services; andWe have asked you if we can share it, and you gave consent.
When you use Centric’s website or our Online Services, certain information you post or provide, such as name, profile, comments, posts and ratings, are shared with other users and posted on publicly available portions of Centric’s web presence, including chatrooms and bulletin and message boards. Please keep in mind, if you choose to disclose Personal Information when posting comments or other information or content through public Centric Online Services, this information may become publicly available and may be collected and used by others, including people outside the Centric online community.
We may also share certain demographic information with advertisers and other third parties, but only on an aggregate basis. Personal Information we collect from you may be kept for as long as it is required for legitimate business purposes, to perform contractual obligations, or for such longer periods as required or permitted by applicable legal or regulatory obligations. We may also be allowed to retain your Personal Information for a longer period if you have given consent to such processing, as long as such consent is not withdrawn.
Third Party Links and Websites
Our website, including this Privacy Policy, contains links to other websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of the services at those links or on those websites. We encourage you to read the privacy statements of any other services or websites before permitting them to collect or use your Personal Information.
Protection of Your Personal Information
Centric takes precautions to protect your Personal Information that we collect and process against unauthorized access, improper use or disclosure, unauthorized modification, and unlawful destruction or accidental loss. These measures include storing the Personal Information we retain on a secure server, which is only accessible by authorized personnel. To the extent we provide your Personal Information to any third parties, we will request that they use reasonable security measures to protect your information.
However, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. While we diligently pursue efforts to protect your Personal Information, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us, and you provide such information at your own risk. We also encourage you to protect any usernames, passwords or other credentials you use to access our Online Services and to use a password that you do not use on any other website or with any other online services.
Privacy Protection of Children’s Information
The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”) protects the online privacy and personal information of children under thirteen (13) years of age. Children under the age of 13 are not permitted to use our my.centricfiber.com online services and we do not intentionally or knowingly collect or maintain Personal Information from those who are under 13 years old. Thus, if we obtain actual knowledge that a user is under 13 without verified parental consent, we will delete that user’s Personal Information from our databases. We recommend that children between the ages of 13 and 18 obtain their parents’ permission before submitting information to us over the Internet. By using our Online Services, you are representing that you are at least 18 years old.
Your Choices Regarding Your Personal Information
We offer you choices regarding the collection, use, and sharing of your Personal Information. When you receive promotional communications from us via e-mail, you will have the opportunity to “opt-out” by following the “unsubscribe” instructions provided in the promotional e-mail you receive or by contacting us directly at support@centricfiber.com. Despite your indicated e-mail preferences, we may send you administrative e-mails regarding Centric services, including, for example, administrative confirmations, and notices of updates to our Privacy Policy.
You may change any of your profile information by editing it in the profile settings page. You may request deletion of your Personal Information by contacting us at support@centricfiber.com, but please note that we may be required (by law or otherwise) to keep this information and not delete it (or to keep this information for a certain time, in which case we will comply with your deletion request, only after we have fulfilled such requirements). When we delete your Personal Information, it will be deleted from our active database, but may remain in our archives.
Use of Your Feedback
If you provide feedback to us, we may use and disclose such feedback for any purpose, provided we do not associate such feedback with your Personal Information. We will collect any information contained in such feedback and will treat any Personal Information in it in accordance with this Privacy Policy. You agree that any such comments and any e-mail we receive becomes our property. We may use your feedback for marketing purposes or to add to or modify our services, without paying any royalties or other compensation to you.
Updates and Changes to this Privacy Policy
Centric reserves the right to change, modify or update this Privacy Policy at any time. In the event of any modification, we will post the changes in this Privacy Policy so that you will always know what information we are gathering and how we might use that information. However, if such changes are material, we will either announce the change on the home page of the site or take such other action as we deem appropriate under the circumstances.
